Cryptonomicon fortune file

Cryptonomicon is an excellent novel written by Neal Stephenson. The book has a certain amount of geek-appeal, so I found it natural (while reading it the second time) to mark all quotable passages and later create a fortune collection for use on my homepage.

Bobby Shaftoe had looked in the windows of the place before, and watched the man with the knife, trying to figure out what the hell he was doing. It had to be some kind of optical illusion. The fish must have been precooked ni the back room.
